Therapy Services & Programs
Let's get to the issues then create a plan to resolve them.
Talk therapy works to uncover obstacles that may not be obvious.
Understanding how your mood affects your health and how your body is influenced by your thoughts and emotions is a key to a happier you.
Meditation and mindfulness techniques are proven to lower stress and up-regulate the immune system. We can explore techniques including breath work, guided mediation, EFT/TFT tapping and over 100 others to find what works for you.
To overcome depression, anxiety, stress, anger, and physical pain, it is essential to also examine your diet.
Food and mood are connected. Your brain and body need to work together. Even if you are not looking to lose or gain weight, or struggle with disordered eating, if you eat better you will feel better mentally.
Diets do not work long-term unless you learn how to reframe your thoughts and literally create a new emotional state of being.

Me too. You matter. Let's talk.
"Samantha saved my life. She helped me focus on the 'why' behind my depression and poor eating habits. She is a genuine and caring person who didn’t let me quit, even though that would have been the easy path for both of us. She found ways to engage me that appealed to my soul. I will never forget the first crystal bowl meditation she took me to. It was wonderful and inspiring and continues to heal me to this day. Or her teaching me to shop for and cook healthy recipes. I still use the skills she taught me. Samantha opened my heart and mind. I will be forever grateful for her presence in my life."
~ Sara W.
"Samantha not only helped me lose weight, she also helped me understand food addiction. I had been eating healthy for many years and had an exercise routine, but I couldn’t lose the weight I wanted to. Through my work with Samantha, I learned I was a sugar addict— or addicted to carbohydrates. Through her weight loss program, I cut back on many carbohydrates and gradually lost all the weight. Samantha is authentic, easy to talk to, non-judgmental, and a true expert in her field of work. She helped me heal from the inside out—and I’m forever grateful.
~ Vivian G.
"I started my journey needing to find my way back to myself. I felt so at ease from the first meeting with Samantha. Her way of making me understand the feelings in my heart and my head have allowed me to think in a deferent perspective. She taught me how even 5 minutes of meditation can help change my thoughts in that moment. I suffer from being overweight, food sensitivities, and an autoimmune disorder. She helped me with a new thought process about food and which foods eliminate the inflammation in my body. She introduced me to her fasting program and what a difference that has made for me. I am down 13 lbs in just a few weeks. I feel truly blessed and excited to have Samantha on this journey finding my way back to myself"
"When I first arrived at the Domestic Violence Shelter I was really nervous and missed my kids a lot. I cried myself to sleep. My counselor at the time, Samantha, was helpful with so many things. It was a long road but the best thing that ever happened to me. I had a counselor that really cared. I am forever grateful! "
~ Cindy N.L.
"I struggled with my sexuality for years. Samantha was amazing. She is empowering and affirming. I highly recommend her to anyone in the LGBTQ community! "
~ Robby P

Samantha Winterberg, M.A., CNS, CHHC, AFPA
As a Health Psychologist and Nutrition Specialist, I work with clients who experience a variety of mental and physical illnesses, often interrelated. My therapeutic techniques include both traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and multiple contemporary and alternative methods of energy psychology that focus on trauma release and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
Through Cornell University, Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Clayton College of Natural Health, the American Academy of Sports Dietitians and Nutritionists, and the American Fitness Professionals Association, I received education in human physiology, biomechanics, nutritive compositioning and the positive health outcomes of exercise, breath work, and meditation.
My practice is designed to examine mood and food as integrated systems through traditional and alternative methods.
On a personal note, my two adult sons exemplify what it means to live fully, heart-centered, vision-focused, grateful, inclusive, and compassionate. Outside of invaluable friends and family connections, I find joy in meditation, music, and reading. I am also a charter member of the American Nutrition Association and a member of the National Coalition for LGBT Health. I continue to advocate for survivors of Domestic Violence, and the LGBTQ+ community, which I am also a proud member of.
